The Somerset Cottage lies within the West Avenue Cider House, a cidery near Hamilton that makes the finest cider in Ontario. Heritage apples and quaint countryside surround the cottage, resulting in a relaxed rural vibe that's perfect for your next weekend escape.
Central Hamilton is a 20-minute drive away, while downtown Toronto takes about 50 minutes depending on traffic.
Property
The charming three-bedroom cottage has a traditional hardwood exterior that blends seamlessly with the lush rural landscape outside.
Indoors, however, the property is decidedly modern, with sleek whitewashed colours contrasting against elegant shades of grey. High-end fixtures, contemporary furnishings, and plush upholstery add a touch of luxury to the place.
Complete with a comfy leather couch and chic, earthy décor, the open-plan living room provides a pleasant place to unwind. Floor to ceiling windows afford vistas of the green rolling hills outside, while the adjacent kitchen is a stylish space to cook and dine. Amenities include a two-top burner, toaster, kettle, coffee maker, and mini-fridge.
The highlight of the property, however, is the roomy master bedroom, also known as the ‘wedding suite,’ which boasts a super-soft king-sized bed set on a gorgeous four-poster frame. The attached en-suite bathroom comes with cute double vanities and a piping hot walk-in shower.
The remaining two bedrooms, which share a bathroom, come complete with plush queen-size beds and chic contemporary décor.
Guest Access
You'll get exclusive access to the entire cottage, as well as the property's 25 acres of rural hiking trails. Of course, you're always welcome to join us at the adjacent West Avenue Cider House, where we serve over 20 delicious varieties of the good stuff (order a few flights to find your favourite).
